Female_Senior_Portrait_2010_On_Location_Old_Sacramento_CaliforniWhen we meet to discuss the details of your senior portrait session, I’m going ask you TONS of questions—what high school do you go to? Do you have a favorite hangout? Do you do any extra-curricular activities? Sports? Music? Volunteer work? What do you consider fun? Do you have a car / instrument / prop / animal that you’d like to feature in your images? Don’t worry—I’m not being intrusive! I just need the information in order to plan the best senior portrait session possible! Remember—this is ALL ABOUT YOU! You only get to be a senior once, so it’s MY job to make sure I get the details right! (Important business detail: it is at our first meeting that I’ll collect a retainer of $50 toward your sitting fee to hold the date of your session. The balance [$49] can be paid the day we take your portraits.)

Now, what should you wear? (Click on this link for a whole new page dedicated to what you should wear at your senior portrait session!)

Since I do all of my work “on location,” we will also discuss where you’d like to go to have your portraits taken. I have several spots on my “favorites” list, including William Land Park, Old Sacramento, Capitol Park, Downtown Sacramento’s “Grid’ area (where all the hot urban eats are), the American River Parkway, Gibson Ranch, and Sutter Street in Folsom. Since our photo session is up to three hours, you can choose as many locations as you’d like—but it’s best to keep the count to two or three that are within a short walk or driving distance of each other.

Oh! And DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR iPOD! Music is one of the best ways to keep comfortable and loose for your senior portrait session. I also encourage you to bring a friend, brother, sister, or cousin, since they can probably make you laugh better than I can and are good targets to help you carry all your outfits!

Again—this is ALL ABOUT YOU! The images from your senior portrait session should reflect your unique personality and sense of style. I want you to have fun, be yourself, and have an amazing time!

About two weeks after your portrait session, I will meet with you again to review your proofs. First, I’ll present you with a slideshow of all the images in your senior portrait gallery, and then we’ll look over a “proof sheet” of thumbnails. After that, we can discuss the different packages and go over any questions you might have regarding all the options available. You may want to plan on making your purchase decision at the time of our 2nd meeting. However, if you decide to place your order within 72 hours (three days) of our viewing appointment, you can have FIVE (5) free web-sized images to share with anyone via email, Facebook, Twitter, or Flickr. As an added bonus, if you “friend” me on Facebook, I will also give you an additional 8 wallets of your favorite pose.

After our 2nd meeting, I will also place all your images in an online gallery so that family and friends, near or far, can view them and make purchases if they choose to do so.

So, are you ready?
